Harvard Pop Center Director Lisa Berkman helps to explain that universities are not capable of funding the type of complex, large-scale, collaborative projects that the government has relied upon to advance its research agendas for the last 80 years. The Harvard Pop Center’s recently terminated grant, HAALSI, is found in the first “block” under the “Aging” category.
