Orfeu Buxton is professor of biobehavioral health; associate director, Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute; and director of the Sleep, Health, and Society Collaboratory at Pennsylvania State University. His research primarily focuses on the causes of chronic sleep deficiency in the workplace, home, and society, the health consequences of chronic sleep deficiency, and the physiologic and social mechanisms by which these outcomes arise. Buxton served as the second Editor in Chief for the journal Sleep Health from 2019–2025.
