Caroline Kravitz, PhD

Caroline Kravitz holds a PhD in health services research and policy from Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health; her dissertation, in which she used a longitudinal policy dataset that she helped to create, examined state and local sanctuary policies and their impact on household SNAP enrollment and food security. Her work focuses on social epidemiology and causal inference, specifically examining the impact of immigration policy on health (e.g., food access/security). As a Bell Fellow, Kravitz continues to explore how immigration and immigrant policies implemented at different levels of government impact feelings of fear or inclusion, influence access to necessities like food, and ultimately, shape health outcomes.
