Sharon Hwang is the project manager for the Health and Aging in Africa: Longitudinal Studies in South Africa (HAALSA) project. She is responsible for day-to-day administration, management, planning, and execution of HAALSA deliverables.

Sharon holds a Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) in population, family, and reproductive health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Masters of Science (MSc) in Epidemiology from the Columbia Mailman School of Public Health. Prior to working with HAALSA, she worked at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health’s Department of Epidemiology as the program manager for the Pediatric HIV/AIDS Cohort Study (PHACS), as well as a research assistant at the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (ICDDR,B) in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
